Gold & gray go together like peanut butter and jelly. Meaning, they're fine alone, but when combined, they produce even richer flavors. Gray calms down gold, while gold pumps up gray's volume a notch or two. The result is part vivid, part mellow.
When I close my eyes, I envision this Mason by Michelle Mason Metallic Gold Corset ($83, originally $275) paired over a fitted heather gray long-sleeve tee. The bottom layer would tame the corset and make it more everyday wearable. Yummy — try it sometime.

Hmmm I can't really see that top over a grey long sleeve, sorry.
1just a heads up....i've tried that top on before, it is definitely beautiful but really flattens the chest oddly....a little weird, but if you don't mind that it's pretty
2I love gold jewelry, but I don't really go for metallic-looking clothing...but gray is my favorite neutral! I love the faded gray jeans.
3Really? Gold and gray? Maybe a darker gray, like charcoal, but I have a hard time picturing heather gray or any light gray going well with gold...
4if i saw somebody wearing this top over a long-sleeved t-shirt, i think i'd fall over laughing. maybe a grey skirt, but over a t-shirt??? no thanks!
5Gold and grey maybe but I had the same thought about pairing that corset top with a tee.
Off topic, I hate the new Sugar layouts, especially trying to look at products. I dislike how I can't just click, it has to take me to a whole new page. Annoying!
