Wowsers! Check out Sonia Boyajian's mystic and lush jewels. This LA-native apprenticed in Antwerp, Belgium, but is back in LA brewing up her fantastical jewelry. The jewelry designer is a self-proclaimed collector of miniature glass objects and loves the clarity and uniqueness of her finds. Objects gathered from her globetrotting adventures - plastic animals, precious stones, hand-soldered flowers, antique watches and faux pearls - co-exist on pieces that are both beautiful and quirky. These are the ideal jewels for a dreamer who sees her jewelry as art and for others who see it as a conversation piece. They range from $300-$2,000 and can be found at Barneys and other boutiques.

There are fabulous crocheted (soft) necklaces, hardened-lace jewelry, beaded-beads necklaces (zillions of the tiniest beads made into something completely different) and collars -- you name it, it's there. Sonia's jewelry is fabulous! But it's hardly unique. It's funny how manipulating the press is what's most important now, when you're selling anything.
