Natasha Poly and Isabeli Fontana's serious faces in Missoni's Spring '09 campaign immediately caught my attention. Shot by Steven Meisel, the models look mannequin-like while wearing an array of Missoni's colorful clothes and accessories. The contrast between Natasha's punchy, pink short set and Isabeli's slate blue ensemble complement one another to perfection. I also fancy their matte makeup palette and ruby red lips. The beach scene is nothing new in Spring campaigns but it works. After all, what girl wouldn't like to picture herself relaxing on the sand in Missoni?

The expressions/makeup/styling do not bother me, but the utter bleakness of the beige sand and dead wood that match the skin tones so much, make me want to stop looking at this.
1I don't know why this is grabbing me, but I love this ad. I love the colors and love the Missoni prints against the sand.
2It's okay.
3I like it! The models look beautiful, and I've always been a fan of Missoni.
4I love the vintage feel. Looks very 1940s-esq
5I agree that it's got a fabulous vintage vibe.
6I hate all fashion ads; they're so cliche. Kate Spade's are the only ads I've seen that are actually original and cool; these are just more of the same...
