I really don't like Vanessa Hudgens, nor do I feel she deserves to be at the Oscars (however I am looking forward to the big dance number), but I can't deny that this is a great dress and she looks great in it.

chelsea i totally agree, don't like her that much, but I have to admit she does look pretty. But I agree with everyone else, I do not like the bottom of the dress and I'm not sure what those flowers are doing there. I know she can't just have a little black dress, but not those flowers!

I don't know if it's the material, the black and white whatever that is on her chest, or the pinstripes. This dress looks like it should be headed to the prom.

This just looks like a more mature gown, for a middle aged actress it would look good on, but she should be wearing something bright and fresh and styled for a younger person such as herself.

I think the problem is that the flowers look too tacked on, rather than like an organic part of the dress like on Anne's Marchesa from last year.

wow! I have to admit, as much as I can't stand this little girl, she is and looks absolutely stunning. I personally love the dress, despite the fact that I usually hate mermaid gowns, and I am really surprised that so many people didn't. the color looks gorgeous on her, and the simplicity of the neckline is perfect with the drama of the rest of the gown. I love how the sparkly black looks so elegant and sophisticated, and yet the bottom, the flowers, and the tulle are fun and spunky. I absolutely love it, and I actually think it is perfectly age-appropriate for her and the event (it is the Oscars after all). plus, her hair and makeup are absolutely perfect...
