shannydots - it doesn't belong at the oscars? what the hell? tilda swinton is a beautiful, VERY talented actress, MUCH more talented than some of the young ladies on the red carpet tonight. I say that whatever the hell she wants to wear DEFINITELY belongs at the oscars. she looks beautiful in her own unique, striking way.

Her style is unique and she is a wonderful actress.

I think she looks extremely classy and elegant. Probably the best she's ever looked in my opinion. So tall and statuesque.

She is her own person and she's not going to follow along with the cookie cutter crowd. she is truly an individual. She does her own thing and does it fabulously! I think she looks awesome!

Tilda wouldn't be Tilda in the typical Oscars gown. She knows her MO and sticks to it, and I can respect that. Would've loved to see her in something more like one of Lacroix's more avant garde pieces, though.

I don't care what anyone says, Tilda is perfect and she can do no wrong. She can wear a garbage bag and I will say she looks amazing. I think if someone else wore this, it would be an utter failure. She pulls it off well.

I will admit, I'm not crazy about what's going on in the front of the skirt, but I'll let it pass.

I think the dress looks good on her. Her hair is terrible, as always, and her eyes need some definition..... a bit darker eyebrows and some mascara.

i like the dress itself, although it doesn't seem impressive enough for the oscars. her overall makeup look is a little severe.

Tilda ussually favors Lanvin...I think this designers ensembles do actually suit her. I dont think a frilly frothy gown or something too fitted would look good on her. I think its such shapes that work for her, so I like it.
