The Council of Fashion Designers of America announced the nominees for the 2009 awards and it's filled with some of our favorite designers. Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, and Jason Wu will be vying for a womenswear award while Calvin Klein Collection’s Italo Zucchelli, Michael Bastian, and Scott Sternberg for Band of Outsiders compete for the menswear accolade. The CFDA will also be honoring First Lady Michelle Obama with a special Board of Directors tribute. Winners will be announced on June 15 at the CFDA gala held at the Lincoln Center in NYC. May the best designer win!
