It's so nice to escape the mundaneness of life by taking a vacation. But, sometimes, that's no easy feat. Besides having to book plane tickets, hotels, and figure out activities, we women have to figure out how to take our clothes and accessories there in one piece. Honestly, my main fear after traveling is finding my jewels — like these Amrita Singh Coral Chandelier Earrings ($92) — all tangled up. Gasp! Sound familiar? If so, it's time to prevent it from happening again. P.S. I always recommend you carry your jewelry in your carry-on; I've had jewelry I checked stolen out of my suitcase before, true story.

What better way to compartmentalize your jewelry than with the king of compartmentalization, a 7-day pill box? But not just any old pill box. Check out this lively Med Sun 7 Day Pill Box Organizer ($4). It's inexpensive, bold, and will ensure that all your small to medium-sized jewels stay in their place. Plus, you can decide which pieces you'll wear on which day and put them in their slots accordingly. If you're scared of scratches, I recommend putting each piece in a small pouch then putting it in the slot.

That is a great idea! I have a few small jewelry cases that I use for traveling, but my larger earrings still always get all tangled up.
Those coral earrings are gorgeous too!
1My mum bought me small jewelry cases too, with lock. It gets pretty heavy though when I bring them with me.
2I have been looking for a roll-up jewelry bag for a while but haven't found much. I like to travel light so anything bulky is out of the question.
3Great idea!
4Those earrings are gorgeous!
5Great idea! I have a roll-up bag I got for free at Sephora a few years ago, but it's a complete mess!
6i have another alternative. place all pieces slightly apart on a bubble wrap and roll it.
when you reach the hotel, open up the bubble wrap and everything is nicely in place and no tangles!
7I keep my jewelry in something similiar - tackle boxes that people use for storing fish tackles and hooks, etc. You can adjust the size of the compartments to hold bigger pieces and it keeps them safe and secure! Plus they're pretty inexpensive...I got them in a dollar store!
8Wow what a great idea! It's definitely important to keep your jewelry safe and tangle free, especially those pieces that are the most special to us. Some pieces are way too valuable (sentimentally as well as price) to just throw it in with your socks. I'm very careful when it comes to what jewelry I travel with because you just never know what might happen. When it comes to jewelry care, my favorite place to read up on tips is the Jewelry Information Center website. They have tons of great tips on everything jewelry related, they were really helpful when I needed to find out how to clean a platinum ring my grandmother gave to me for my 21st birthday. JIC is truly the go-to website for anything and everything related to jewelry. I def. suggest checking them out if you need any kind of tips.
