Hey there, it's Allison. Today, I'm going to show you three stylish ways to make the most out of a basic striped sweater. We've seen this look on celebrities like Emma Roberts, Liv Tyler and Miranda Kerr. It's a great versatile piece to have in your closet because a simple stripe will never go out of style. Today I'm here at Checa Boutique in Santa Monica, and I'm using this fantastic lightweight sweater by Paper Crowns in all three looks you're going to see. I love this sweater because it's not too bulky, so it's great for layering, and the stripes are the perfect width. For our first look, we styled a polished daytime look. We wanted something that was effortless and cool. So, we started with our sweater and a pair of dark-washed skinny jeans and then we played with prints by adding a textured plaid jacket that has a menswear feel. We complimented the look with usual accessories so a pair of suede booties and a Proenza PS1, and then finished off the outfit with loose hair to keep it feminine and a fancy watch and a silver bangle. For our next look, we created a transitional outfit that will take you from winter right into spring. We edged up our stripes by tucking our sweater into a pair of loose drawstring leather shorts. We kept her legs bare, but if it's still cold outside you can easily throw on a pair of black opaque tights. We continued the cool girl look with a pair of black-studded booties and then finished off the entire outfit with an unexpected light brown clutch and a two-finger Aztec-inspired ring. For our final look, we put together a fantastic day-to-night ensemble. We paired our striped sweater with a black Maxi skirt. And we love this one because of the side slit, which shows off some leg, which is great when you're still covered up. We then chose a gold pendant necklace to give the look a vintage feel and added a pop of color with a red Balenciaga clutch, and finished off the outfit with a black cocktail ring and lace-up booties. We hope these outfits have inspired you to use a striped sweater to create lots of stylish outfits this season. I'm Allison, see you next time on FabSugarTV.
