Gap is giving its denim collection a trendy makeover with the launch of its new 1969 Premium Jeans collection. The revised denim collection enlisted the help of premium denim designers to create a quality piece falling within Gap's price range of $60. Furthermore, the new collection is budget friendly and slick. “Across the board, we want it to feel sexy and authentic,” said Gap’s VP of design, Patrick Robinson. “Women want their a— and thighs to look great, and guys just want something easy.” The 1969 Premium Jeans collection drops in August and will include a bevy of skinny and boyfriend cuts along with denim shoes by Pierre Hardy, tops, and hats by Albertus Swanepoel.

6I stopped in The Gap this weekend and all I can say is they NEED this denim line! I am an on-again off-again fan of Gap jeans, having found some great pairs in the past, but the jeans they have in stock right now are so outdated. I wanted skinny jeans and figured Gap would make a flattering pair, but all the store had were the same old boot cut/flare leg jeans. Cant wait for the new stuff, hope it's on trend and flattering.

9I work at the gap and we just had a meeting about the jeans. There changing the fit of the jeans to the make the butt more lifted. There pulling in the hips and working on the pitch so women look slim. The jeans are really cute, there also coming out with distressed jeans. The collection is a hugh deal! There will be bands playing at gap the day the jeans are launched. The day there coming out is around July 20-something? I think it was around the 27-29 or so.
