I have brown tights, black tights, light grey tights, dark grey tights, bright blue tights...And, I can proudly say that I loved tights long before Gossip Girl made them popular again!
(On a side note, I wear a skirt or dress almost every day and I take public transportation and walk, so I need tights during the winter. If there's a day when I want a nude look but still
need tights to keep my legs warm, I go with dance tights. They never fail me!)
I have tights of various colours, but brown can look seriously hideous of paired with the wrong clothes. As in brown tights-black skirt, or brown tights-purple skirt, and the list goes on.
Can also go well with light denim skirts imo. Black tights are so much less trouble!
Black tights are great, but there is something I don't like about brown tights. I feel as though they don't look good sheer, and when they are thick they look weird.
