Matthew Williamson For H&M Summer Collection, Piece By Piece
Here's what we're dealing with folks: swimwear (two one pieces, three bikinis, one trikini ), a towel, sunglasses, wallets, an overnight bag, a hot-pink stitched jacket, scarves, tunics, dresses, jeans, jean shorts. The only thing I think Matthew forgot when designing his Summer collection for H&M was shoes! But I can't take any more. If you thought
his Spring collection was hot, brace yourself for heat exhaustion.

Do you know where the lime green tunic from the ad campaign is?? I have my heart set on that!
1Honestly, I don't really care for this collection...other than a couple of the bathing suits, the turquoise skinnies, and that floral boho dress, I'm all set.
2meh, not a big fan. All the pieces are very cheap looking.

5Funny, I think of Mr. Williamson's work as being colorful and cheerful in general, although most of his designs are not for me. I tend to be conservative.

11I wouldn't write this collection off entirely. Aside from a half dozen or so pieces I'd say this is an interesting update to the 60's. I liked the colors and really liked several items.

14I saw it in person today, I was underwhelmed except for the turquoise one piece and the turquoise jeans. They are so soft! The rest seemed too poorly constructed and cheesy to be worth the money and I was sad to see that the stitching on the white peasant blouse was super bright neon rather than the toned down brights in the bathing suits. It looked like bright fishing line.
15I had my friend in Toronto pick up the pink bikini and the peacock wrap dress for me. I can't wait to get them!
