Carolina Herrera, like Oscar de la Renta, keeps the country club-going ladies who lunch well-clothed throughout the cruise season. She interpreted the name of the season a bit literally - there's a sailor dress, as well as a poolchair-printed fabric used throughout the collection.
But I have to give it to her, she did stick to her staples: the dress, the pencil skirt, the swing coat. I have to say - this is not my favorite collection from Carolina. Some of the detailing seems a little cheap, and the color palette doesn't seem really cohesive - it's a bit all over the place. But if you're a Herrera fan, I'm sure you will be pleased, regardless!

I love Carolina Herrera. This collection is gorgeous! So elegant, modern, and wearable. I think the fabrics and details are lovely. The red dress is stunning and drapes perfectly.

6I love different pieces of this collection. It is a wonderful collection although we're used to falling in love more intensely with Herrera's designs.
7The main picture dress subtly reminds me of the feather and bird looks we got last autumn (from McQueen, etc.).
I'm jealous of the design : it is light and appeals to my imagination. Is that a summer bird or would I rather want to see it as a bed of roses? Simply classy and original.
My favourite piece is the bright puple dress though. Less classic, very well cut with a beautiful drapé work on the top.
the collection is breathtakingly beautiful! i've always adored carolina herrera for making clothes that look so feminine, pretty, and so well made to flatter a woman's body. she knows a woman's body so well, that i feel with every dress she makes, she makes the person wearing them look more classy and confident. she is an awesome designer and one of my favorites!
