V Magazine's first ever swimsuit issue is a testament to that. See cover girls Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Daria Werbowy and Claudia Schiffer get down and sometimes dirty in skin bearing designer duds from the likes of Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Stella McCartney. Oh, and inside are some other steamies like Natalia, Angela, and Carmen, last names need not apply. The mag hits newsstands May 6th — here's a little something to tide you over until then.

Call me crazy, but I just don't get this photoshoot at all. The ladies look lovely, but what they are wearing can't be called swimwear. They are mostly naked with very little actual clothing!
1These are top models so presumably they were shot by "top photographers" and similarly experienced directors. Frankly the photography is awful and an insult to the models.
