At first I wasn't thrilled by what I saw of Carolina Herrera's Spring 2007 collection at New York Fashion Week. But the more I look at the photos, the more I love the clothes. Composed almost entirely of black, cream, hot-pink, and salmon-red tones, the dresses and separates are effortlessly elegant, with high, cinched waists and smart, broad collars.
Like many of Herrera's fashions, these really embody classic femininity, like they're meant to be worn by socialites who don't want to look stuffy. Many of the dress fabrics featured lots of lacy patterns, which I'm not crazy about, but I love the brocade styles and other delicate details. I just love this line- it's fabulous.
1Hmm, its kind of bold for my tastes. But some of it is cute. I like some of the shifts, and that last dress.
2I usually love Carolina but not this time.
3The sunglasses with the lace overlays (or whatever they are) are a cool detail for the runway. I think a lot of the line is very wearable.
4the material looks silky...
5love the colour red on the dresses.
