If even Betsey Johnson is favoring dark and neutral tones, you know they must be in. The eclectic designer—known for wild prints and hot-pink clothes—staged a dark and dramatic runway show to debut her Spring 2007 collection at New York Fashion Week. Johnson's latest line echoes her typical funkified vibe, but with a slightly more grown-up feel. Gold, Chanel-inspired suits shared the runways with sassy mini dresses, and the models' lavender lips (also seen at Proenza Schouler) were some of the brightest accents to be found. (That, and the purple lining peeking out from this relatively conservative mod-inspired dress.) I like the way that these pieces take many of the trends we've seen at other shows—like empire waists and dressy shorts—and mix them up with distinctly Betsey Johnson twists. Wow... I like her line. WTF happened to Marc Jacobs and Betsy? Did they switch minds or something!!!
Betsey Johnson is like punky Brewster. I usually love her but this time.
Yeah, I like this line, too. I especially like the sweater dress FAB posted with the story.
Love Betsey Johnson, her clothes are just so fun and interesting.
Looks like I'll be bless with colors next spring, it's crazy as how I can't wait for spring and equally can't wait for winter
usually i love betsey johnson... but not this time. i can't say exactly why, but this group of dreses doesn't really appeal to me.
This collection is very sexy! And sassy as well. The only thing I don't really like is the pantsuit.
