When I first saw the chartreuse dresses parading down the runway at the Nanette Lepore show on Tuesday, I was horrified that one of my favorite boho-inspired designers seemed to be favoring a very heinous color. But as more items appeared from the Spring 2007 collection at New York Fashion Week, I grew to appreciate the day-glow shade—but as an accent color, mind you, not as the entire basis for a dress. The chartreuse actually made for a stunning and surprising combination when tempered with royal and light blues or overlaid with black, and I loved the bright color accents provided by the models' big chunky bangles.
When Lepore toned down the color palette, the line broke ground with sleek and unusual silhouettes, like super-high-waisted skirts paired with cropped shrug suit jackets. As always, I could have done without the animal prints, but all in all, I'd have to say this is one of the more entertaining and wearable collections to be shown so far. I like it too. I can hang with that wildly bright color on somebody else. For me, just an accent thank you.
1Chartreuse is my second favorite color, after yellow ( well it,s almost a kind of yellow), it's beautiful, sour, fresh but not too cold.I like it paired with neutral
