Here is Katie Holmes with ultra adorable Suri playing seaside in Cannes, France. Tra la la. Everything looks very fun and chic but wait - are those fabulous Christian Louboutin heels chosen as beachwear?! As one who just had a tropical escape, I am all about good 'ol flip flops when it comes to the beach. Katie does live the ultimate life of a jetsetter but the crunching of the Cannes beach pebbles against that signature soft red sole makes me cringe.
I've been to Cannes - it is not a smooth beach, even more reason to not wear heels, $600 at that, with your little babe. What if she misstepped and punctured little Suri? My mommie gene hasn't kicked in yet, but in the name of fashion, and safety, WTF?!
Side note: what do you all think of her black halter one-piece? I think it's very Bianca Jagger but too old for Katie...oh they grow up so fast.

Hate the suit and why is she wearing such high heels at the beach?
1Fab, I'm cracking up at your use of the word "punctured," but it's so true! That's is a pretty ridiculous choice of footwear.
2I like the suit from what I can see of it, but I do think it makes her look older, especially with her (fab but) shorter new haircut. I can imagine her looking pretty youthful in it with longer locks... a la Bo Derek in 10.
I nearly cried when I saw she was wearing those heels at the beach. I know she is rich but they are still Louboutins!

It's like she is her older self pretending to be young....except that she IS young. Honestly, I wasn't sure how I felt about here hair (I thought it was a bit too old and harsh for her, and this scene just clinches it. The 1-piece is a little to Newport News clearance section and the heels are just silly.

32The suit is to old for her..If you are in your 20's,dress like it..enjoy life.To give her some slack though, maybe she has some stretch marks from Suri shes keeping covered..who knows. Maybe she is wearing the one piece to hide a not quite back in action tummy? I think her suit is super classy and appropriate for the south of France and for a new mom. She's closer to thirty than she is 20 I don't think it is too old at all, and with that super lowcut top part I think it is sexy.

37I noticed the heels when I saw those pics on Dlisted. Hey, she has sooo much money that if she ruins them, who cares? She'll just buy another pair. I like the suit and I'm sure that as she is in the French Riviera she just wanted to be glamorous with the suit. I love her new haircut!

But i agree that you should NVER wear heels to the beach! whats the point anyway all i ever do with my shoes when i get to the beach is take them off other wise the get all sandy and gross! and Louboutin heels? WHY WHY WHY!?! Her 1 piece just makes her look frumpy and too mumsy notshowing off who she is, after all she is a movie star!
