Here's what I love about clutches with studs: Studs are the easiest way to look tough, but since the surface area of a clutch is small, there's no overkill. Make sense? I would carry this Giuseppe Zanotti Stud Clutch ($745) but for that price? No thanks!

Now this Express Stud Foldover Clutch ($50) is more like it. In fact, I think the combination of big and small studs is more interesting. It's just bold enough without being in-your-face. What a stud.

Love your theory about studs and clutches! Totally makes sense. Sometimes studs on a huge bag is just way too much. Thanks for the inexpensive alternative to the Giuseppi Zanotti!
