Since my 2 year old daughter is my current boss, I do not have a dress code!
Although, when we go shopping, she's not afraid to voice her opinion by saying "no, no, no" to a piece of clothing she doesn't approve of. When I was a music teacher for a public school
district, we had a dress code but it was mostly about proper dress as to not show off the goodies e.g. no spaghetti straps, no mini skirts, etc. I miss dressing up every day!
If we do, no one has mentioned it to me yet. When I started, I dressed nicely until I started seeing what everyone else wore on a daily basis. I'm now not as dressed-up but I'm never super
casual. The most casual I go is on our summer Fridays when I wear leggings in for the half day.
The dress code at most of the places I have worked has been business casual. However, I rarely conform to this attire. I wear what I want because I guess that since I'm working my butt off
for some billion dollar corporation that is only paying me $45.00 a day for 8 hours of hard labor, and if I have to suck up to their annoying customers, then by all means, I'm going to look
good doing it. Usually this doesn't go over too well with my employers, and shortly after I am hired, they wield the ultimate power weapon; total conformity - uniforms. I don't wear uniforms.
I am just allergic to synthetics, and I can't handle looking like I just joined some kind of organization. I'm all for organization. I just don't belong to any. So, I always end up quitting.
Now I work for myself.
yup business casual at least even though the guys were suits allll the time..I do get away with some casual outfits on Fridays though as long as I pair jeans and a nice top with some heels
Business casual, which apparently consists of bright colored pant suits worn with matching crocs or Betty Boop t-shirts and floor length velvet skirts. Ah, the midwest. Got to love it. Just
so we are clear, I am not the one wearing these approved outfits. I only observe and wear sundresses everyday. Cute ones that aren't wrinkled and NO CROCS!
It's different how everyone's definition of business casual varies. I'd say we're professional/business casual, depending on the day of the week and whether congress is in session, but I
would NEVER wear a sundress to work.
I work two different positions at the same company, and when I work the retail, I'm expected to look really cute and fashionable, but when I work concierge, I have a bit of a uniform.
We can't wear anything that is too short or too revealing ... but people in my dept pretty much come into work wearing jeans and flip flops since we don't interact with agents and authors
face-to-face. I think depts where employees have to see a client or deal with the CEO/President dress more corporate.
I work at an art museum, if we have any kind of dress code it's 'creative'. people wear everything from suits and ties to skinny jeans and gladiator sandals.
Our dress code is stuck in the middle ages. I work at a hotel in the south and we have to wear pantyhose even in the sweltering summer heat and humidity. Of course no one really sticks to
that since it's insane but it's still a pain to have to worry if someone is going to decide to enforce the dress code on any given day
im a paralegal so I have to be business casual since i meet with clients all the time but our office is more on the lenient side. I can wear black jeans or super dark ones but i don't do it
that often. I can get away with flip flops and I wear hats a lot but i always pair it with solids so I look more professional. It's all about sneaking in something comfortable.
I work at Bloomingdale's and we wear all black. Depending on your position, there are different regulations but we definitely should look nice and put together, preferably a suit jacket and
black pants. This way we all look uniform and classy.
not really. i'm a college teacher, and while i try to keep it a step above the students, i can really wear whatever i want as long as it's not obscene. some days i dress up, and others i wear
my nice jeans and a blouse.
I work at a jeans company, so jeans are the norm around here. Everyone varies though, some people look like they're spending a relaxing day at home, and some look like they're going to go out
for a night on the town! I always mix it up (some days flip flops, some days high heels), but I always at least try to look presentable!
There's not really any dress code to speak of at my nonprofit; people wear everything from business casual to jeans and t shirts. Exposed cleavage and underwear have also occurred.
well i work at elle magazine so it's a b*tchy and competetive environment which requires you to wear Louboutins and YSL dresses everyday :S but thank god for weekends so i can wear old and
ratty tracksuits
I am a teacher's aide, so I get to dress exactly the way I usually do (which I love). I of course, have to be conscious of length of skirts and dresses and comfort of shoes; and our awesome
principal does draws the line at sleeveless (nothing less which I think is perfect and appropriate). yay, I luv my job...
I work at a contact centre in the health sector, funded by the ministry of health. We don't deal with our clients face to face, but we have a dress code.
Basically it's no hoodies, flip flops or shorts. We are allowed "dress jeans" and "tidy 3/4 trousers." I wear jeans most days because I wear the same thing to university and to work. Usually
I will wear skinny jeans, funky boots and a blazer, but on Fridays and Sundays I usually dig out the chuck taylors. In summer (I'm in upside down world) I sometimes wear dresses, but usually
with a tank top underneath.
ours is very lenient i think. i work in advertising so we're allowed to be casual, you're just not allowed to wear anything 'mini', no flip flops, no tank tops (spaghetti straps), and no
sneakers.
i work in a small voip company.
anything goes here.....
it's very casual- the boys wear jeans and tshirts or shorts in the summer.
i can come in in my joggers and flip flops if i want.
today i have a summer dress on....
office wear like heels and a pencil skirt would definitely be out of place
unless i was doing a presentation to customers who were visiting or we were out for meetings.
i do wish i worked in a more girlie fashionable environment so i could dress up for work.
i just feel silly if i do!
I work in a nursery, so it's strictly jeans and older t-shirts during the week. On the weekends, we take plants to customers so it's semi-casual to formal.
I work in the deli department at a grocery store. Have to wear the white polo shirt, the apron and black slacks along with non slick shoes but I'm sure that is normal since it's a grocery
store!!!! LOL! But I hate coming home all with this powdered dust from the gloves I have to wear!!!
Yes, I'm the HR Director of a private special education school. We have to dress conservatively, no cleavage, no clingy dresses or skirts and dresses can't be above the knee. When I started
working there 11 months ago I had to go shopping for a whole new boring wardrobe.
I work for a pharmaceutical company and the dress code is business casual. They are very lenient about the dress code and we are all allowed to wear jeans to work every day if we want to but
I just reserve the treat for Fridays. It's just me, though. I like to feel a bit professional when I go to work. It makes me feel more polished and not so sloppy...although I know jeans can
be chic, too.
I work at Starbucks. So no visible tattoos or eccentric piercings. Natural colored hair (which is so hard for me since, before Starbucks, my hair was platinum and aqua blue), black or white
COLLARED tops, no tanks, black or khaki pants or skirts, black shoes. No jewelry, no perfume, no leggings, no fun hair accessories.
I kinda hate my job.

Nicky Hilton was spotted leaving The Ivy restaurant after a day of shopping with sister Paris. Her casual yet stylish outfit, which consisted of skinny jeans, tall black boots and an Alice + Olivia military blazer, was perfect for the occasion.
business casual
It's so boring!
1very business casual. so casual, that we can wear jeans on fridays or can pay $10 a month to wear jeans every day.
2Nope. I can wear whatever I want to my office, every day. Thank god.

18Business casual. We're not supposed to wear jeans, even over the summer, but some people wear them anyway.

We are business casual as well. Not very casual though - no jeans allowed at all, not even on fridays.

23I work at a university in the housing department, so if we dress up, it's weird!
I'm
the only one who wears dresses- everyone else wears jeans

And what is up with that picture of that girl sitting on those boxes. That's not cute at all.
