I don't think Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have the word "simple" in their vocabulary. Their Dolce & Gabbana Fall '09 ads are Vegas-style over-the-top, while their latest D&G Fall '09 ad, shot by Mario Testino, is regally grand. Everything is opulent — the luxurious carpet, the decadent bookshelves, the plush sofa. And check out the details on those clothes — stunning. But it's not a shocker, that's how D&G does it. What's your verdict? Are you impressed?

I like the clothes. I like the background. I HATE them together; the colours completely clash.
1I think the muted green and yellow background really offsets the blues and purples in the clothing. I like how when you first glance at it, the background and the way the models are posed looks very old-fashioned, almost kind of like a Baroque painting. Then, when you look closer, you see the modern elements - platform shoes, skinny pants, women dressed like men, etc. Brilliant.
2Chloe Bella, I was going to say the exact same comment. I adore the ad and find it to be a lovely mixture of both the past and present (with a dash of luxury
.)
3I agree, I like the whole thing.
4I love everything, especially the good clash of saturated colors. It makes me want to go watch The Royal Tenenbaums (or any other Wes Anderson movie, for that matter) and it makes me happy for fall and winter.
5MEH!
6i love it, i love D&G
7Oh my goodness. I am no fan of this style.
8UIgh, I dislike Cato so much!!
