After six years, Jennifer Lopez's contemporary sportswear brand, Sweetface, has been pulled from the racks — for now. "In light of some new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view," a spokesperson said.
Sweetface originally launched as an urban streetwear spinoff to JLO by Jennifer Lopez and quickly became a higher-end contemporary line carried at Shopbop.com, Intermix, and the like. It was said to be raking in about $200 million at retail in 2006, but things went downhill. For now, the only Jennifer Lopez lines remaining in the US will be JLO by Jennifer Lopez costume jewelry and her footwear sold at Victoria's Secret.

4Oh and yea, SweetFace is entirely different from the urban clothing she started off with.

7I wonder how many animals she electrocuted in the name of fashion? She makes me sick.
8I didn't like her 2001 Macy's stuff...but she evolved into SweetFace which truly was much more "designer." The Macy's clothing was mass market, and it's not fair to criticize her for the fur use. I don't like fur either but not everything included fur.
9I didn't know about her line and I don't care about anything she'll be doing in the future. Her clothes look tacky and of course they were probably overpriced. In today's economy, people just can't afford to purchase the unneeded especially her undesirable clothing. No one really pays attention to Jennifer Lopez now.
