Yeah, why couldn't you tell your boss and why would you be scared?? Your lunch break is your time, so you should be able to do whatever you want. If your employer doesn't agree with this,
then that is a serious issue.
Ditto here. I shop all the time during my lunch break and usually let my co-workers and boss know, just incase they might want me to pick up something while I'm there or go with!
Shopping while on lunch? Well doesn't that sound pleasant! If I had more time than twenty minutes, I would love to head over to the mall and scope out the sales
I'm with others, yes, I occasionally shop on my lunch break (well, on days when I actually take one). And no, I don't feel the need to keep quiet about it. Why would I?
I work right downtown where all the shopping is, but live an hour away in "suburbia". It just makes more sense to do it on my lunch break than to wait for the weekends.
As long as I make it back without going over my time, my boss doesn't care. I shop for all types of things on my lunch break at least once a week- household items, toiletries, shoes. I work
downtown, so I am in a prime shopping area.
I certainly have, but I have the same question--what is there to be scared of? I can do whatever I want on my lunch break. Although I have taken longer lunches...
i agree with the other ladies, i don't understand what all the shush is about! if there's a sample sale i'm going to, i always tell my boss about it, and very often see her there too!
Yes, but usually only on Fridays when I'm looking for something to wear during the weekend. I'm a lawyer, so it doesn't matter where I go at lunch, as long as I get my billable hours in at
some point.
I like to use http://www.keeplookingbusy.com for online shopping. This funny website offers you an
interface that looks like a Word. You can Shop on Amazon, Search for deals on eBay, and Browse News no one can see what are you really doing.
This question is for digistsy. How does this work? It says that the screen appears invisible but i tried it out and it doesn't work. Does this work for you?

9I do mostly online shopping during my lunch break. I also agree with the above - what's the big deal if the boss knows?
