With a name like firecracker, this Nicole Miller Draped Firecracker Dress ($219, originally $365) is the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth. Or is it? It will definitely make you stand out from the crowd, but will it also make you detract from the real fireworks? The colors and print are unique but I'm not so sold on the drape front. I would have preferred a more fitted, sexier version. Perhaps a miniskirt. What do you say?

It's very 'eh' to me, I don't care one way or another.
1It looks like something a soccer mom would wear. *yawn*
2I agree with Fab... a fitted sexier cut would have been much better with this print.
3it looks like something you could find at forever 21. nothing against forever 21, but i kind of.. expect more from designers than that?
4It looks like the inside-of-cover pages (I know they have a name, can't remember it now) from old books. Like 1800s books. It reminds me of my Civil War era encyclopedia.
5Meh. Not good. Will be on the bargain racks soon.
6Apart from the unflattering cut of the dress I think the color explosion should have limited itself to either the warm or the cold colors, not both together.
7Hello FabSugar...I love reading your blog and I was wondering how you could help me. I'm a very fashion conscious person...thanks to your blog and similar others...But in my town I don't have access to better private label designers. I was hoping you could give me a top ten list or more of your favorite online boutiques that have price points between $250.00 and $1,000.00 per item. I LOVE fashion accessories too. Please feel free helping me get very fashion creative.
All other commenters, please feel free to contribute your favorite top 10 list as well.
Sincerely,
A Fashion Conscious Personality

9Well the fourth has passed us
but hopefully this dress is still for sale-- the firecracker
design is just too cute! I love the bright colors and how they contrast with white background of the dress. The neckline is also very flattering.
10Berly N u dont need private label designers 2 hav good fasion. There is no need 2 spend $250 on clothing, its ridiculous! just go 2 ur normal clothing stores around ur area and pick up knock off's of similiar clothing 2 the clothing u see on the internet that u like.
i hope
u found this at least a little bit useful.
