In honor of the
Fourth of July, I bring you a special edition of Girls on Film:
W's American Dreamin' editorial in the Dec. '08 issue. It features the hottest crop of models — Eniko Mihalik, Lara Stone, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Sessilee Lopez, and Aline Weber — taking on confident all-American characters. From potato chips to American flags, cowboy hats to plaid shirts, it's pure Americana, and there is no better time for it than now. I am especially intrigued by the juxtaposition between the quirky props and glamorous gowns. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin capture the madness in LA. American dreamin'!
