Ever since the first bunny-eared model stepped onto the Louis Vuitton Fall catwalk, and after Madonna donned them at the MET Gala people have been wondering, why the bunny ears? Well, Marc Jacobs has finally explained himself. In the making of the 2009 Fall/Winter ad campaign video, he said: "There's a girl who works for us, Lucy, she's on the design team, and Adrian, one of the boys, was tying a little bit of fabric around and it reminded me of bunny. We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around Lucy's head and said, 'Bunny ears, that's what we need to finish this look.' So we made all these radzimir bunny ears and that's how it happened. I like the kind of Playboy, French coquette aspect to it." Apparently they made 30 to 40 colors before choosing the right one for Madonna's Fall ad. The bunny ears have been explained . . . we can all breathe now.

I'm sorry to say his explanation doesn´t make them look any prettier to me.
Did he explain that terrible jacket?
Lol@ syako. That is beyond fug.
That jacket is indeed a crime against the female body. It looks like a pup tent!
They reference Toulouse Latrec can can dancers, they are still fug but that more specific reference is neat, you have to think of the models and clothing in that painting context.
They are just for fun! I am glad that there are still designers who dont take everything so seriously- fashion is about experimenting having fun! And yes the jacket is weird but look how its sort of inside out- its different
Mr. Jacobs = yawn. Karl would never do bunny ears.
Yeah cus MJ thought of it first
So that explains the bunny ears but still doesn't explain why Madonna (definitely NOT french coquette) felt the need to put them on. There are some people that can pull off haute couture, and there are those that just can't...
