Hate flip flops with a passion... they're not real shoes.

The only thing they are good for are pedicures and clambakes!

i'm glad to say that i never go to the flip-flop dept anymore... there are so many other cute sandals out there! why stick with the slippers? i do wear them around the house and the beach or where ever i can't really wear sandals because of dirt or sand because they are comfy and affordable...

yah, unless I was living in a beach city, I don't think flipflops are actually too latest in fashion...of course, other than the purpose of following fashion, I guess its great for comfort! personally I never wear them

I have a pair of Puma flip flops that I ONLY wear to take out the trash, get the mail, etc. I hate them as regular footwear because they look so sloppy. Plus when you walk, they kick up dirt onto your foot. But they will never die because there will always be people who love the super casual look and refuse to give them up.

If I cared about fashion ALL the time, I'd go crazy. I sure do wear these after work when I'm running errands, when I'm camping, when it's Sat/Sunday morning, etc. Relaxed summer clothes are one of the best parts about this time of year.

I'm sorry but I will never be able to give up flip flops...I have too many of them to just dump them...they are so comfy and perfect for the beach...and if I don't have a pair of matching shoes for my outfit...yep, out come the flip flops!

I do have a pair by the door to slip on for little errands like getting the mail but I rarely wear them in public unless it's super casual.

I don't wear them a lot but they are easy to slip on when just running errands or casual functions where you know your feet might get sandy or wet.

no, so long as they are pretty ones and u have nice feet lol then its kl, but i always paint my toe nails because i really h8 the bare look

i hate flip-flops! if you live in a city they are horrible & inevitably your feet get dirty in them i much prefer a great pair of flats!

Ugh, I hate flip flops. I suppose they are ok for weekends or with casual clothes, but I'm sick of seeing women in Manhattan wearing them with dresses and even business suits. It looks horrible.

I love them. I always keep a pair in my purse when I go out in case my heels start to hurt. Plus they are super easy when I am running errands around town.

at work and going out i dress it up with fancier shoes and sandals but for errands and beach and just being a bum sometimes? flip flops all the way!

i love my heels, for work and going out, but i also love my flip flops...i have tons of them, their a necessity in SOCAL...

i just bought two new pairs of havaianas to wear to the pool or the lake or out running errands. they feel like you're walking on pillows! i can't give flip flops up, completely. no way no how!

Flip flops are a necessity! I couldn't live without them.

I feel like a red neck when I wear flip flops any place other than the pool or beach. And even then, I will only wear my Rainbows. I hate colored flip flops.

That's like asking if slippers are over. They're in a sort of utility shoe category that defies trends. I'd hope no one wears them thinking they're stylish! :/

granted i have like 24970575970957 other pairs of sandals/shoes but they are great for just throwing on and plus the can make a dress/skirt look super cute and casual

Hate them! I think they look so sloppy and far too casual. Then again, I think the casual look has gone to new, low levels lately anyway

I swore off flip flops last summer and only own one pair that I take out the dog in. They're so dangerous to wear -- if it's wet out it's like you have water skis on your feet! I got a concussion last year b/c of them! Owie!!

i don't like flip flops and only really wear them when i'm at the beach, pool, etc. now that it's hot out, i see girls wearing them to work all the time with professional clothing. i don't think anything looks worse than pairing flip flops with work clothes. so unprofessional. that's why god created flats!

If I'm miserable and running a quick errand, I might put them on, along with a sloppy tee and a pair of yoga pants. That's it. Even with a really basic t-shirt dress, I do flats. Flip flops are good for street wear only if you're in high school or younger.

I'm torn =/ I like to wear my flipflops sometimes, but I like the sandles that have a Grecian inspiration (is there a word for em?)

I'm glad most people are on my side! I guess it depends on where you're from too... I live in beachland. Our style is obviously not going to be the same as London style or Denver style.

I really hope they are out... flip-flops as streetwear are disgusting. Really, they make everyone look so desheveled and childish. Wear a cute pair of flats instead if you want to be casual!

for summer you can't beat a pair of flops, a nice pair of leather ones will take you almost anywhere.

I love my flip flops! I try to wear them 360 days a year if I could. However, I don't wear the clip plastic kind, I get cute ones with sparkles or rhinestones etc

i love my flip flops too much that i couldn't careless if they are still in the trend or not.

i'm never giving up my Havianas.. sooo comfy! I always like to change up the shoes I wear but I could quite possibly live in them!

I don't think they will ever be over in California. To the beach they are must wears in my opinion but yes I find myself wearing other flat sandals instead of the flip flop.

wearing them all the time is actually pretty bad for your feet. I wear mine for quick runs to the store and that's really about it.

why would you even post this? nothing has even suggested that they are over? it's like saying, are blue jeans out? it's a staple item.

I have flip flops, but only for super casual stuff like going down to the pool, yoga class, or quick errands. I never really got what made them "fashion."

I don't wear them everywhere, but I will always where flip flops.

buuuuut I wouldn't say that they're a fashionable thing all the time~ I'd take a pretty heel over a flipflop...and there are certain styles that just look HORRIBLE with flipflops yet people wear them with it =P

this is the silliest question ever. flip flops are like sneakers...they are never "trendy"...they are a wardrobe staple. i am not saying they should be worn for every occasion. But nothing beats the casual look of the flip-flop...

I love flip flops! I wear them whil I'm driving so I have a pair in my car and I wear them when I'm running around in the office so I have a pair under my desk. I also have 2 pairs at home when I'm too lazy to wear shoes...hehehe.

I live in South Florida, and I wear flip flops quite a bit of the year. I also wear a ton of cute flats in the winter when it's too cold for sandals.

In South Florida, flip flops will NEVER go out of style. It's just part of the warm, beachy culture.

Depends on the occassion - I don't wear them everyday but when I am just hangin' I do! I lik eto switch my shoes up. Time and a place for every kind of shoe

I work in a super casual office (anything more than jeans and a tee is considered overdressed) so I wear flip-flops to work everyday in the summer. But when it comes to a night out I definitely switch to some cute wedges!

I get to wear flip-flop everyday during the summer! They are so comfy amd I have them in all sorts or colours! And I do get compliments form them too!
The ones at American Eagle are the ones I love!!!!!

I love them, but I haven't purchased any new ones in awhile. I think the problem is that there aren't any overly cute ones out right now. I used to be able to get them in all kinds of variations, but I haven't seen any this summer. My favs are the ones with the wedged bottom so it's like wearing heels, but I haven't found any lately. If anyone knows where I can find those, please let me know.
