When I was shopping for a gown, I thought a $12,500 hand-embroidered Vera Wang gown was quite ostentatious. I can't even fathom what a $75,000 gown is going to look like. Either really fabulous or really eww.

I like Eva, I really do. She seems like a down to earth person from what I've seen in interviews. However, this wedding seems very over the top esp. with the $75k dress. Hearing the details of this wedding you would think she was an A- List, Hollywood heavy-weight, not a newly famous tv actress. But hey, if this is what they want... hopefully the marriage lasts.

Two dresses is quite "normal" in France though : one must have the certificate of civil wedding before being able to go through with the religious ceremony. So, usually, two dresses are chosen for those who decide to have a religious wedding on top of the civil one.
Am I the only one who isn't surprised by the price of that dress? Haute couture is very expensive and some catwalk dresses of 250 000€ don't shock us.
At least she made over 20 people work and earn money, that's how I see it. If she desires to spend to her money for that, fine by me. I wouldn't do it if I had a large bank account though...

From the picture, it doesn't even look that pretty! What a waste of money, some women try as hard as they can to have the most expensive dress, what a shame, could have gone to something a little more noble (charity?)

Hearing how much she paid for her dress just makes me dislike her more than I did before, and I actually thought she was kinda ok before, not now!

It's her $ to spend, but it does seem a little distasteful to me to be SO over the top.

These people get paid way too much for what they do and this is the proof. Sad! She could have done something really constructive with that money instead of wasting it on a dress she'll wear once. i agree...absolutely ridiculous....makes me like her even less if that is possible. i know many stars have over the top expensive weddings and i think they are all ridiculous...but that's just me and weddings!

She can afford that ridiculously-priced gown we ordinary mortal's can't even have.
