I think it's a little bit flattering and annoying at the same time. It's nice that someone admires you enough to copy you but it's like, ugh why! If you really like the piece then it's okay because I know I wouldn't want someone to yell at me thinking i'm copying them for picking up the same sweater. I always add my own flair to things anyway so it doesn't really matter in my case. But you know!

I think it depends on how far it's taken... pieces copied... well that's flattery... imitating personality or idiocyncracies... that's just a little weird! Copying a whole outfit of a friend... that's just a tad annoying and odd. Even then I probably wouldn't get mad, I might have a quiet word or two!

Annoying! I try hard to shop for great finds and scour the city for little unknown boutiques just so I'm not wearing the exact same thing as everyone else. In the end, it is flattering that people like what you wear/own, but I've had friends who say oh, I love your bag, where's it from? And the next week, there they are carrying the exact same thing! Instead of feeling like it's a compliment, I'm just downright annoyed.

It's not flattering as much as it is funny to me. I laugh when I see someone who recreates something I've done. I can see where it can get a little out of control if the whole damn outfit including hairstyle was the same, but in the end, who the eff cares, because I rocked the outfit soooooo much better

It's just annoying! I feel excited and special when I'm rocking a neat outfit. If somebody tries to copy it, it's not so special anymore.

Personally, I think it depends on how closely you're copied. If a friend of mine has something that I find too incredible to resist, I will always ask for her blessing before I go purchase it.

If someone's trying to copy me - well then they need a lot of luck. I buy a lot of indie designers' originals and shop a lot of vintage stores. There is practically zero chance that anyone is EVER going to come up exactly the look that I put together.

I think it is unless you start getting plastic surgery to look like that person. But as far as emulating how they dress, I think it's harmless.

It depends on how far it's taken. If someone asks you where you bought something and a few days later you see that person with that particularly item, I feel flattered. But if someone completely copies your style or starts acting exactly the way you do, then it's annoying!

It's really annoying I'm the oldest of 3 kids, and my younger brother and sister would copy me all the time when I was younger so I can't stand when someone does it now. I had a friend who always wanted to copy whatever I wore and she didn't understand why I was bothered by it. Hello, I put a lot of effort in expressing myself with my style. I find it hard not to be flattered when somebody rocks a piece of your look but I don't want anybody walkin' around lookin' like my twin when I know a was born without one! That's when it is irritating/annoying.

Both....when our senior class was personalizing our class rings in college, this girl was lined up behind me, and she was legendary for trying to be a leader but was actually a total poser and follower. While everyone got their initials or first and last names on their rings, I decided on my first and middle names. Of course, what does the girl behind me do, but the same thing as me! I was a little flattered, but I should have called her out on that.

it's definitely flattering to know that someone admires your style, but it would get VERY annoying if they have your whole wardrobe and hairstyle...there's only supposed to me one of you lol
