On a number of its new digital-camera models, HP has introduced a new "slimming feature," which promises to trim pounds off of your photo subjects using imaging trickery. You can read about the details here, but basically, the nifty tool subtly makes people appear trimmer while still maintaining normal body proportions. The driving philosophy behind this product seems to be, Why lose weight if you can look better in photos regardless? Something about that attitude just bothers me; it seems like an extreme extension of all of the airbrushing and other tinkering in today's photography. What do you guys think of this idea? Love it or hate it? Tell me what you think!

LOVE IT! WOW!
1lol...i know i should hate it but i really love this idea! i mean, the camera already adds 10 pounds so isn't this true to life then?
(hehe...i know my logic is off on this one but i want this camera!)
2So this is what HP did with a bunch of warped lenses?
3loveeeeeeeeeee that! I want it
4I like the idea... I'm always sprucing myself up in Photoshop just for fun anyway.
5kinda weird. are we this vain? just eat right and exercise and you won't need a magic camera
6other than that i would be worried that it would distort other images too
7Being that Digital puts about 15 pounds on everyone all it is really doing is making the person look more normal. I am film lover all the way.
8~hmm, on the fence..I'm not real big so this might make me look like a beanpole!~ But it is a pretty cool idea., so I don't 'hate' it...
9How about just losing 15 lbs? I know thats my goal..then I don't have to be all.. hey is that a sliming camera..no then no pictures please.
10LOL Ima~ that very well may be the 'famous quote' in the near future.,,,hahahahaha................. huh, waaahhhh, no slimmy no takey...
11i just checked the HP website and it said that you have the option to keep it the same or size down. so you get the best of both worlds.
if only i could afford it! and yes, i know i could be slimmer and trust me, i'm workin on it. Weight Watchers is awesome!
12Not gonna lie: It's veerryyy tempting.
13Hmm...well, I only take pics of my kiddos and dog so no.

14GEAUX SAINTS!
yeah..sorry grandma but your're non slimming camera is banned from your grandson's bday party.. NO PICTURES FOR YOU! I am not going to have my son looking back at his bday thinking his momma is 15 lbs heavier.
15LMAO Ima!! You've got to put your foot down at times like those.
16I wonder what Nicole Richie would look like with that lens. *shudders*
17i don't hate it, but what happens when you show your friends your vacation photos and the real you looks like you GAINED weight since the pictures were taken?
18Hopefully ur friends wouldnt be smart assed enuf to comment on that one lol
19Hello?? Remember when Grace (of W&G) looked "busty" in a newspaper pic? She had to wear that water bra to the art gallery-which totally burst. I'm just saying if you're using it to take pix for MySpace, be warned-you WILL run into the ex and look nothing like your profile.
20Hate it, I want to know what I actually look like.
21Oh okay so when I take a pic of myself, I don't REALLY look that fat? Digital photography really does add lbs to us??
I like this idea to be honest! Will someone answer my question though? Because I feel like a big fatty in my pics, or when I look in the mirror. Any chance the mirror adds lbs? Lol! kidding.
22I love the idea. I don't care if it's realistic or not. I have a hard time looking at myself in pictures!
23This is a way for people to cheat even more on the internet
