It appears that the rumors about Daisy Lowe being Agent Provocateur's new girl were false. WWD revealed today that Maggie Gyllenhaal has been chosen instead! Maggie will appear in the first episode of the AP online campaign beginning September 1, with three more episodes to follow.
A bit of a surprising choice, but then I think of her in the S&M flick Secretary, and I know Miss Maggie can handle her share of lingerie just fine.

25LOVE it. I love the whole intelligent-sexy vibe she had going in "Secretary" (which is, frankly, my only frame of reference for Miss Maggie, but a great one nonetheless). And for all the people who think this is "weird" - keep in mind that the term "agent provocateur" is a term that means "a person who secretly disrupts a group's activities from within the group." I think their choice of Maggie is a nice way to "shake things up" in a sea of blandly perfect Kates, Giseles and Adrianas.
