Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen showed up to see the Spring 2007 ready-to-wear collection from Christian Dior, unveiled yesterday at Paris Fashion Week. The trendy twins appearance is somewhat surprising. After all, the first third of the collection was downright matronly, characterized by cream and gray suits and boxy silhouettes.
Things got a bit edgier later on, however, as designer John Galliano showed off gladiator-inspired sheath dresses, asymmetrical tunics with geometric embellishments, and drapey gold-toned gowns. While nothing jumped out as extraordinarily novel, there were plenty of beautiful, artful pieces to admire, including this light pink gown with metallic disc adornments (at left).
