We all know that Chloe makes fabulous handbags, and if the Spring 2007 runway show at Paris Fashion Week is any indication, the label also excels in making bag-like dresses that are sultry and feminine despite their roomy fits. Mustard and mosaics were the recurrent themes of this adorable collection, which alternated between big, bold swaths of color—namely golden ochre, chocolate, and cream tones—and elegant, gilded patchworks and geometric adornments.
I love the way that Chloe can use big playful buttons or a Peter Pen collar but still make a piece look altogether feminine and a little bit sexy. Unexpected and disparate silhouettes vied for attention, including high-waisted harem-styles pants and lace-collared minidresses. I especially loved the accessories, including big, edgy collars and oversized brooches.
