I've never been a huge fan of over-the-knee boots, but seeing Jenna Dewan in her maroon pair convinced me otherwise. See, I used to think thigh-highs were cheesy — cue Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman — but the key to getting this look right is styling it with not so '80s clothes. I suggest girlie floral frocks, like Jenna's, for an upscale Woodstock vibe, or paired with a lean wool mini, tights, and trench for a ultra-modern Fall look.

I'm too short to actually pull this off.
1I don't care how much people jam this trend down my throat, I refuse to acknowledge this as remotely cool or tasteful.
2i like over-the-knee boots but i think you have to choose them carefully, otherwise it can look gross.
3I'm not fond of these with heels...no matter what, it will always scream hooker to me..
HOWEVER, I am really fond of the flat/small-wedge over the knee boots! I saw some really pretty ones at Nine West and Nordstrom (Steve Madden Blondee), both for $99, this past weekend. I didn't try them on, but they look dreamy in person.
Actually, Zara has flat over the knee boots in grey and black, as well, for $79 I believe. I tried them on, and I really loved them
4I so agree...over the knee boots always scream hooker to me too ckeller825!
They could possibly work with something a bit less "hooker" like on top...like the article said something more girlie and a throw back to Woodstock style a bit...less structured more flowy.
5I could never pull off over-the-knee boots.
6I have some flat, barely over the knee, boots and I'm short and i used to think it looked like a kinda slutty/trashy but it looked pretty classy with my summery dress. It can be done.
7I think anything worn wrong will make you look like a hooker. It's all in how you dress and carry yourself.
8I am way too short to wear any of these!
9im about to go to top shop and buy the flat suede ones
10fabulous....................
