Berets are back, and they're coming in all patterns and colors, not just the raspberry ones like Prince sings about. This French-inspired look is a very cool option for cold-weather, whether it's made from wool, fur, or shearling. Here's a look at some of the more current berets out there.
Scoop Wool Beret, $38, available in black or camel here.

Dolce & Gabbana Lambskin and Shearling Beret, $475, available here.

Lord help us all. Ok, berets work on SOME PEOPLE - like the super hipster, tortured artists that hang out in alleys and parks in form fitting jeans that they've been wearing for weeks on end. BUT - berets are not a trend! I just really don't think I can handle seeing Jessica Simpson in a beret.
1I like the last one, but that's it. I hate, hate HATE the leopard one.
2I like them!
3Oh god now every couture wannabe is gonna be walking around looking like a broke mime. GREAT!!!
4this brings back some very awful memories... i worked for wild oats years ago in juice & java and we had to wear black berets. it was nearly hell on earth.
5I like only the last one!
6lol
7@ jke cant you just picture Chestica running around Manhattan throwing hers in the air
"Look Pa, I'm just like that Mary Tyler fillie yee haw"
8no no no to berets!
9i had a bunch in highschool when no one ever wore them but for the most part they just dont work on most people
10Jeez. My I don't think I'll have to do this one, since I did it in HS. I still think they look a bit "costumey".
11berets do not work on full faced women, such as myself
12I can't stand berets.
