The phrase "leather skirt" may conjure images of biker babes in black minis, but this Fall, the leather skirt is getting a toned-down twist. Sure, there are some short styles, but these earthy skirts are anything but trashy, with brass buttons, flared bottoms, and supple, soft leathers. Plus, the sturdy styles are a great option for cold weather. Here are my favorite leather skirts in stores right now.
Lafayette 148 Leather Skirt, $798, available here.

Banana Republic Heritage Snap-Front Leather Skirt, $298, available here.

Diesel Leather Mini-Skirt, $182, available here.

The Siena Studio suede skirt is nice, but I'll pass on the leather. Regardless of the length, I personally don't like leather bottoms. I always think they look stripperish, no matter how classy the cut.
1The pencil skirt is kinda nice but the rest are wretched.
2If I were to go for any of these, I'd stay on the softer side. Something tells me that a hard leather skirt would be cold in the winter. Am I making sense?
3These are kind of yucky.
4Not my style at all
5i think it's hard for a leather skirt to look classy.
6I would wear the 3rd one in black, with black tights and black boots.
7That first skirt looks like buttah.
8I have owned a leather skirt...don't seem myself wearing one again though
