We all know that plaid is huge this Fall. If you're looking for a way to wear it, why not try a plaid dress? There's just something really fun and unexpected about this look. Plaid has a slightly preppy, British feel, but using it in a dress gives the pattern a funky edge. Here are some of my favorite plaid dresses, both aspirational and obtainable.

Alexander McQueen Plaid Ruffle Dress, $6,965, available here.

This is quite a sampling of some great plaid dresses! The Forever 21 dress is really cute.
1The BCBG dress is cute.
2I like the Zac Posen.
It's funny, I almost Fab Found the Alexander McQueen, like ten minutes ago, for RED Fab Find Thursday, but then I got distracted and forgot to go back to do it. I still have Net-a-Porter.com up in another window and everything!
3I like the wetseal one the best.
4I love the Alexander McQueen dress!! I have always had a passion for plaid. Funny thing, I have had a red/black plaid ivy cap that I bought like 10 years ago and I still have it because I love it so much. Now that plaid is coming back in style for dresses, well, just a slice of heaven for me...
5I like the wet seal one the best.
6I like the Zac Posen, Kay Unger and Wet Seal. The Wet Seal one would look cute with a turtle neck underneath, and tights w/ boots...for winter.
7Six THOUSAND nine hundred dollars for a dress? That's a lot for any dress, but that dress?
8If I was going to spend that much money on a dress it would have to be a wedding dress but even then I don't think I would spend that much.
9Zac Posen and L.A.M.B
10i like the LAMB one the best. however, seeing the red plaid tub dress just reminds me of that Sex and the City episode where Charlotte and Trey have that big fight at the Scottish dance.
11I agree, Nica, I thought of that, too.
12I don't know...I used to have a couple pair of bootcut plaid pants...wear them with a black sweater or T-shirt, I really liked those...but something is off about the dresses. They look more fit to be draped over windows, not worn by actual humans.
Plaid accessories are cool. I have a couple plaid hats. The longer plaid dresses up there are overkill.
