If you've ever wish your photos could be touched up like celebrities on magazine covers, you're now in luck. Hewlett Packard has just come out with seven different versions of its Photosmart Digital Slimming Cameras, which include a feature that can make your photo subjects look up to 10 pounds thinner. When the slimming effect is applied, the pixels of the photo are compressed in the center and expanded on the edges, so everything stays in proportion.

You can buy the cameras here, and the various models range in price from $169 to $399.99. (Be sure and apply for your rebate to get the discount). Better yet, the slimming effect is just one of more than 25 cool artistic effects on these cameras. To learn how to put your photo subjects on a digital diet, read more
The slimming features is basically like having photo editing software at your fingertips, and it's really easy to use. All you do is:
- Take a photo.
- Go to the menu on the back of the camera, select an image and press OK.
- Highlight the design/gallery menu and press OK.
- Highlight "apply artist effects."
- Adjust the level of the slimming effect using the arrows and press OK. The original image that you took will always be saved just in case you don't like the way it turned out.

Why does everything have to be so fake nowadays? Most everyone is beautiful just as they are!!!
1I have to say that this is disturbing. I agree with sunshine, why can't women embrace their bodies the way they are? This just gives in to the false pretense that women have to be perfect and sickly skinny.
2bizarre. truely bizarre. people can be so vain...i wonder if this has anything to do with america's always expanding waistline?
3This is a disurbing commentary on our society. I have a friend who does this sort of editing and she is a very popular photographer, but something--pun intended--is wrong with this picture.
4omg wow! ok most ppl find this disturbing.. i find it amaaazinggg
5I freaking love it! I loved my last HP and Im in the market for a cam this is totally my xmas gift lol
6Im sorry but why can one want to look a little thinner? The camera adds on pounds as it is. I dont want to look like a lump of dough when In actualitly I look quite normal. I think if anything this camera give the oppurtunity to share pictures with people be proud and have the pic more like your true self with out those extra pounds. just my opinion on it.
7I think making a false image of yourself is pointless, because its not like people aren't going to end up seeing the real you anyway, why not try to get rid of a few pounds on your own for health and not to temporarily look good
8oooh i know what im putting on my christmas list!
