The clothes and accessories from the designer label Marni are very hit or miss, often veering between truly unique and frighteningly weird. This Marni Patent Leather Clutch Bag, available for $1,269 here, is no exception. On the one hand, I think it's stunningly original in the way it combines shiny khaki leather, white piping, and a tortoise-shell chain strap. I particularly love the big, button-like clasp that dominates the front. But the purse is also pretty unorthodox in its look, so I'm wondering: Do you guys love it or hate it? 1Hate is such a strong word, but the handle is larger than the body of the bag.

take out the metal links in the strap and it might be more appealing

17It's okay. I do love patent leather and chain handles, though. But, for the price (not really I'm assuming it is expensive...don't have time to check in the middle of a manicure again) plus, I really don't like the tortoise (sp) links.

21As a kind of piece for decor, kinda like it, it would be something cool to be a conversation starter, but it looks like it would be uncomfortable
