Clutches were generally square and rectangular until Lauren Merkin came along. Her Metalic Clutch, $168, like so many of her other clutches, is hexagonal in shape and has lovely pleating in the front and back. I have been on the lookout for a less expensive version because I can't justify spending more than $100 on an evening bag.

My search ends here with this Steve Madden "Flora" Frame Clutch, $38. Like Lauren Merkin's version, it's metallic and has the same shape and pleating. It comes in various other colors so at that price, you can get a couple. I'd hide the chain strap, tuck the clutch under your arm and glam the night away!

Yea there are so many metallic clutches under $100.
1I want a metallic clutch but no way pay more than $50 for it. How much use am I going to get out of it really? I like the cheaper one. I need to see if they have a darker, brassier one for some shoes I just bought.
2I have that clutch!!
3i love evening purses and clutches like that.
4i always favor way fancier dressed up ones than that.
i don't see anything truly unique about that.
i guess if i liked something simple, but for such a small
virtually useless sized bag, i would prefer something
much more glam and beautiful.
marley11- do you have any favortie brands for evening pursses/clutches. I want something funa dn small (but somewhat reasonable).
5I love the second one!!!!!!
6I'd hide the chain strap but other than that I like it. I like both about the same.
7Both are nice!
8I love a good bag, but I've never been picky with a clutch. I could totally rock the look for less clutch sans the strappy thing attached.
