So we're still on the fence about crop tops? Melrose Place maven Ashlee Simpson can maybe help sway. She worked the trend in the most precious way. Her black Carol Malony bra top combined with high-waist Malanrino tuxedo shorts prevents too much tummy reveal. A chic black blazer and pretty heels keep everything tasteful. Black-deco Paolo Costagl earrings add a unique flair, while her little cinnamon-bun 'do is totally now. What do you think of Ashlee's cropped chic?

I honestly can't tell because I am so distracted by the horrible way her neck looks.

14I was in high school in the early 90's and loved crop tops. I must say it's one of the few trends from back then that I would be happy to see back. Wait a sec...I have since moved from Cali to Texas- the midriff landscape here is on average much worse, so maybe not.
