Gals looking to give their Louboutins a rest should turn to shoe guru, Brian Atwood. Since 2001, he has developed a cult-like following — one look at his sexy footwear and it's easy to see why. Brian was inspired by his mother's impeccable closet as a little boy. His passion led him to FIT in New York and later to the catwalks of Europe where he pursued modeling. But all the while, Brian had a notebook full of 4-inch stiletto sketches that would later come to life.

Quite impressively, Brian was hired by the late and great Gianni Versace in 1996 (he was the first American to be hired by the Italian designer). He finally took the shoe plunge in 2001 and has since been wooing women with his glamorous designs. But like Louboutin and other exceptional shoe designers, Brian's creations don't come cheap. They retail for $500 up to $700.
