And the Lindsay Lohan 6126/FabSugar Leggings Contest Winner Is . . .
The votes are in and Lindsay Lohan has chosen the 6126/FabSugar Leggings Contest winner. Out of over 200 entries, Lindsay narrowed it down to one dreamy sketch. Congratulations to Cali girl Candice Aman! In addition to receiving $1,000, her design will be added to Lindsay's Spring 6126 collection. When asked about her design inspiration, Candice said, "I was inspired by a type of tracksuit bottoms that I had when I was younger. They unbutton all the way up along the sides and I thought that a leggings design utilizing this idea would be interesting. I also wanted to incorporate hardware in the design so I made buttons! I mean, everything is better with studs and grommets." Agreed, we heart her studded leggings. Want to see more cool sketches? Check out the rest of Lindsay's top design choices!
Cute design, very Napoleon Bonaparte, but stick with studs instead of tear-away buttons--for logistical reasons. (sure hope Lohan & team realizes this...)
Leggings are made of stretchy material -- in this case probably a spandex/modal blend, that would remain "tight" in places where there were none of those gold "tear away" buttons. The buttons
would hold together the leggings on the sides, but there would be big gaping holes like this ( ) where there were no buttons to hold together the stretchy fabric.
Unless I am misunderstanding this tear-away design, that would be both a fashion and a design FAIL.
I saw the 6126 pic at Yahoo, "OMG What Were They Thinking?! Check out Lindsay Lohan's tattered leggings line,..." and loved it! It defies conventional thinking, obviously. Some people just
see "runny stockings". But as somebody who wants to see pantyhose have a comeback, and who loves the textured fishnets I've been seeing, the total look riveted me, and if I saw somebody with
that look walking by, my eyes would be crazy-glued. Kudos to bold
thinking that I know will certainly wow a substantial male demographic if it gets widely seen!

Lindsay has horrific taste and she should stay far far away from the fashion world. Congrats to the winner though!
1I love looking at all the other entries!
2She got a real bad rap for her line from the critics from Paris fashion week. Really bad!!!
3Lol not surprised that she picked the most boring pair.
4not surprising that she picked the most versatile and marketable pair.
