You know a shopping mall is high-end when it has its own Fashion Week. And starting today, the ritzy, 260-store Ala Moana Center in Honolulu is hosting its World Festival: Hawaii’s Fashion Week, which runs through Nov. 5. The 6th annual event includes a few fashion shows but focuses mainly on seriously fashion-focused events.
This sounds like a paradise for fashionistas, and not just because it's taking place in Hawaii. The best part is that World Festival attendees will have the chance to buy a number of special-edition handbags and other haute products, including a MAC Cosmetics silver overnight makeup case. Though these were created in very limited quantities just for the event and are available only in Hawaii, the products are fun to admire as eye candy. Here is a preview of some of the most stunning handbags and other products.
Coach Legacy Satchel in Geranium, $698.

Neiman Marcus 18-inch Farfalle Print Emilio Pucci Neckerchief in Fuschia, Violet, or Sky, $50.

Jimmy Choo The Rock in Bronze, $1450.
Dior Diorissimo Logo Jacquard Medium Hobo, $530.

1I miss Ala Moana.
2sigh....J, I am SOOOOO jealous of you for growing up in Hawaii!!!
3Ha ha ha, sh*te, these days *I'm* jealous of the old Hawaii me too.
4Why do malls go so high end. I used to live right down the street from South Coast Plaza. I remember the days when it was a normal mall with normal stores. Now it is extremely high end. I cant afford any of the stores. It makes me laugh when in designer adds they always list the cities where you can find there stores but instead of saying Costa Mesa it would just say South Coast Plaza as if it was a city within itself
5I remember that Jess Ness.. that was before they expanded across the street and started to compete with themselves.. Then Fashion Island started to up the ante and shows like the O.C. and Laguna Beach sealed their fate. The Spectrum will be next I am sure!
I still miss the 80's stores like Miller's Outpost.. LOL!
"Baby did a bad bad thing!"
6lol, i used to work at south coast plaza, you have the low end area and the high end are and then sprinkled throughout is the middle of the road stores. awww its like the makeup of o.c
7I girl that used to do my eyebrows worked at South Coast Plaza before moving to Brea mall...she hated working at SCP
8i used to work at the macy's and we would watch all the people get caught stealing it was hilarious
9i worked at the biotherm by the door.
10haha I miss Costa Mesa
11Ala Moana has the best of both worlds, JessNess. They have all the super high end stores and they still have Jeans Warehouse (which is like Rave) and Old Navy and everything in between.
12oh Hawaii hates me. My mom and I went this past summer for our birthdays. We went to Kona because my aunt has a huge condo their so it was free lodging. Anyways we both got some form of e-coli food posioning and spent an entire night throwing up. We then spent the next three days laying around because we were too weak to even walk. This was all within the first full day of our vacation. So on the last day we had on the island, we decided we had to do something so in our weakend state we drove around the entire island. Then the day we were leaving we got to the airport to early, cause we are use to LAX and being there 3 hours early, a plane was on fire, and when we finally got on our plane we were stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours because they had to fix a light and they almost cancelled our flight because of it. So Hawaii hates me. If I ever go back Im not going to the big island Ill go to Maui
13Oohh I love Maui!! It was my favorite out of the major islands. Kaui was really fun for nature related activities. gorgeous!!
14love the coach bag!
