I've been eyeing this Black Banana Republic Fillmore Deep Satchel, $248, for quite some time now, ever since I spotted it in-store. I love the shiny black patent patina, and the leather is super soft and supple to the touch! The snakeskin-like finish gives it a bit of edge that just plain patent leather wouldn't have. The chain is removable, but the bag is beautiful without any bells and whistles attached. Definitely a keeper.

12Wow, this is a nice bag. I was hesitant to spend over $200 on a banana republic bag. I own one of their totes and purchased a summer bag with flowers from them sometime ago, but both were no more than $50 bucks... this post could possibly make me re-consider. This is a nice bag, wish they had it in a nice rich plum color... oh I so would have to order it... fall wishlist getting too big for my budget as we speak.. =(
