Neo-grunge
n. Grunge music - a style that emerged in 1991 with Nirvana's album "Nevermind" - translated into fashion. Characterized by heavy layering, natural colors and individualistic mixes of knits, flannel, tweed and uniforms.

6Gosh i love this looks!!!!
Plaid & Grunge is def coming back!
7Wow, I feel old when a style I wore in sixth grade comes back.
8Gah, Chanel grunge- Kurt would be turning over in his grave.
9I lived in Seattle when Grunge had it's first round (only bands who were signed w/ SubPop should be considered real grunge). I could live without a second round.
10These pictures as well as everyone on here that thinks this neo-grunge look is the real deal makes me sick. Think about it. Grunge was anti prep, emo, and jock yet these posers cuts holes into their jeans and tosses on a flannel and they think they are hardcore. Its sad when you think about it. Most people these days probably never heard of butthole surfers or 7 year b*tch let alone name more than ten nirvana songs not counting radio played.
