A kid in a candy store. J.Crew recently presented its Spring confections and I'm salivating already. Jenna Lyons played upon the usual frilly vs. preppy aesthetic, with loads of neutrals and pops of neon. Khaki outerwear atop sequins and cargo shorts are meshed with girlie stripes and soft plaids. Styling is exaggerated — I don't mind, better to inspire. Who else can pull off camo and ruffles? Sandals range from preppy to exotic, and jewelry plays a pretty role. J.Crew even tries its hand at the pantless trend, successfully. Hats and cross-body bags complete the disheveled-chic aesthetic.

1Ok, is JCrew eschewing pants now, too?
