I have to admit that when I first heard that actress Maggie Gyllenhaal was going to replace Kate Moss as the face of Agent Provocateur, I was less than thrilled. I just couldn't get the image of Maggie with her little daughter Ramona out of my head long enough to replace it with her as a saucy lingerie model. But now that the ads have been released, I am pleasantly surprised. I suppose deep down I knew Maggie had what it took because of her sassy role in the Secretary. By looking at these sexy ads, you'd never guess Maggie is a mom who loves to lay low in jeans and flats. I guess that's a good thing! What do you think?

She has looks from another era, this is perfect for her. I love the shot of her in the head wrap. Gorgeous.
Hey Fabsugar, jinx! I just posted this on my blog. great minds do think alike. lol.
Super impressive for a normally laid-back mom
Kudos to Agent Provocateur for
choosing someone a bit different. It worked.
Maggie looks great here!! Good choice AP!
she looks amazing, especially in that top picture.
Wow!
I am really proud of Agent Provocateur for chausing this girl instead of Kate Moss because this girl is REAL. She has some curves, she isn't 20 pounds underweight, she has boobs and hips and wow, i love it!
the top ad is my fav!
Move over, Dita! Maggie is smokin in these! I think there's a new pin-up girl in town!
Huzzah for a real woman with some meat! She looks closer to the other more anonymous models in their catalog.
Wow. I love the ads. Sexy.
I loooove maggie! But did they give up Kate for her?!
She looks totally fab, too bad they couldn't put a different backdrop for that shot other than those suburbia blinds with fantop and curtains. Looks like a house decorated in 1990. Bleh for this type of ad.
am i the only one who thinks she has a weird pig nose?
Ughh..I like her as an actress. But she just isn't doing it for me in these ads...two thumbs down.
Meh...I never would have put Maggie and Agent Provocateur together.

Leave it to Red to notice the decor!
I love these! She has a very 1920s-30s look about her.
I love the retro hair, but—don't hate me—I'm not crazy about Maggie for AP. It just doesn't feel like a good fit to me.
Love her. She looks gorgeous in these ads!
I think she's pretty smokin' here, but I think they went overboard on her make-up. Just a touch.
i am not a fan of hers but to be honest this is working big time for me.
love these!!!
I don't feel like she is a good choice for this. It's not working for me. My initial reaction was also surprise because she is a mom, but so is Kate Moss
Na dont really like it . The poses look so forced and fake.
I love her look! It's so nice to see a lingerie model who's not super-skinny. She looks great, with Marilyn Monroe-esque curves!
She looks so hot, but in a very classy way. I always though she had sort of a vintage look with her dramatic lips and luscious pale skin. And Damn: If I looked like that and I had a 10 month old baby, I would be pretty darn proud!
my favorite is the one in the bathtub. she looks very cte and flirty, but natural. and i love the super pinup-y look of her on the phone.
Wow, is all I can keep saying and that's a good wow.
I don't like the Dita look on her. Its too harsh. She looks better with lighter hair. The concepts are great, but they need to work better with the model's features. Overall very nice shoot.
God damn. I've always been a fan but that's just awesome.
Fab, I don't know why you doubted Ms. Maggie. Maybe because she's so freshly post baby. She's got the sexy low down look to her. I was not surprised by how lovely these photos came out, but I am a little jealous that I don't look that hot.
Yeah, I am just not feeling it in these ads. I don't like the way she looks. The makeup is too heavy for her face, and it just makes all the shots look awkward. =(
She looks fabulous!
I'm not too sure I get this casting. I like Maggie Gyllenhaal in movies because she's so, er... normal looking! Which is a nice way of saying she's not exactly drop dead gorgeous, and this totally works for her as an actress. But not s much as a model. I liked her in the Miu Miu ads she did a few years back, but there was something about the more candid style of those pics which suited her looks more than these shots. They're, I dunno, a bit much?
Nah, they need someone else for this. I don't like Kate Moss either, I've never found her attractive, but Maggie is really not attractive or sexy.
A woman who is "normal" looking and has a better body IMO is Kate Winslet. Someone in that vain would have done it for me. Maggie just isn't pretty at all. No offense.
Didn't she just have a baby? She looks great!
I am surprised and like it!
I agree with many of the people here... Maggie is not hot and putting her in ads like this highlights this fact. They need someone REALLY hot to pull this off.
she really doesn't do it for me
Gorgeous ads! Maggie looks amazing!
I do not find her pretty at all! Besides she looks boring and shouldn't even be taking the places ( or roles ) of Katie Holmes and Kate Moss!
She looks gorgeous! Great choice to go with Maggie!
Velvetavalon- no, you are definitely not the only one. It is a strange double standard I feel about this ad. It is refreshing that AP went with a non-typical face for their new ads, but, at the same time- I need someone a bit more... typical. Maggie is so unattractive that she ruins the ads. Her body isn't banging enough to detract from her face, basically. And the lingerie is meh.
The good side of these pics is taht she looks confident about herself even if she's not model-skinny. That makes her attractive. (No man like women wining because they think they're fat, right?)
But... still, those pictures scream "Get a room!" to me. I definitely wouldn't want to see my mother like that and I do not like to watch other people in underwear either.
Wow! Never knew she had it in her! But once again, Wow! Thats Hot!
Holy wow, Maggie's looking damn sexy there.
I think she looks amazing. I disagree that she's not gorgeous- I think she is, in her own, less obvious, way. The 40s style hair and makeup really suits her. This is possibly the only ad that's ever made me want to buy Agent Provacateur- in the past I always saw it as too raunchy verging on tacky.
hate it when they let aan actress do a models job she looks ugly
I like her as an actress, but not as a model and especially not in that makeup.
These got your attention that's what they are for whether you like it or not.
