If you're in a social circle like mine, you're probably not invited to a ton of black-tie gatherings. But that doesn't mean you can't wear some black tie-inspired garb on the holiday party circuit. That's right: It's time to start hunting for a cute festive party dress, so this week, I'll be looking at the hottest party-dress trends. Today's installment: tuxedo-inspired dresses. You know what? I don't see how these dresses are inspired by tuxedos. All I see are empire lines.

Don't tick me off. Or you'll get it.
Stone Soup, most of the dresses have pin-tucks running down the front, just like a tuxedo shirt.
I like the Philip Lim and the Trovata.
2So, they're inspired by a shirt, not a tuxedo. I have a tuxedo, it looks nothing like these dresses lol!
3The DVF one is OK, but I wouldn't buy these. The last one looks like a costume
4I dont like the top one. Its doing weird things in the boob area. The others are cute though. I like tuxedo inspired pants...super cute
