If there's one thing I'll say about this particular piece, it's that it is undoubtedly Dior. But otherwise, the $5,600 Dior Cropped Wool Jacket, available here, leaves me pretty speechless. To me, it really straddles the realms of beautiful and ugly. For instance, I could do without the animalistic Mongolian wool trim, but I love the way the fur plays off of the delicate beaded flowers on the back of the coat. The big, floppy collar and scalloped seams are also particularly artful, but the overall effect leaves a lot to be desired. What do you guys think? Love it or hate it? Tell me your opinion below.

Oh my heavens. Is it a full moon?
1Crispy, that's hilarious. And true. This is hideous.
2i love love love it. i would wear it everyday with my knee high boots and jeans. loooooove it. haha, definately can't spend that much money on it! jackets over $100 are a rip off.
3Im sorry, this coat is just beyond costume couture.
4Um ew. That thing is hideous. There is nothing being 'straddled' here. This thing crossed the line and leaft beautiful far behind. I can't believe anyone would actually pay $5,600 for something so atrocious.
5I agree with Crispy... it looks like a strange animal

I love this. I think you could wear it with anything! Someone who could afford this coat would have many coats, but this one would be remembered. Not for the faint of heart.
7Not for the faint of heart is an understatement, IMO.
If I were a freaking cavewoman, I still wouldnt be seen in this.
8hate it.. fuglyyyy
9Ewwwwwwww, nope, not for me at all as much couture as it is
10Totally hate it!! It looks like they took it from the series Into The West.
11I hate it.
12This is a tough one . The cost of the jacket is way off. It's not that beautiful for the price. This is a one time wear jacket because you will need patients for finding something to wear with this.
13In addition to not liking this, I have to say it's made even worse by pairing it with that dress... If it must be done I'd see it more with riding pants or something.

I like the fur on the collar. (Actually I have a couple of costume jackets trimmed with long feathers in just the same way.) But I'm not feeling the fur on the sleeves -- beginning it above the elbow like that reminds me of an animal's hocks, which is interesting intellectually, but not something I'd wear.
19Hate it!
20Undoutably Dior? Undoubtably heinous. Stray dogs would attack the wearer...Bigfoot reports will drastically rise.

la clique, i like it but it looks like it would make me sneeze
22Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, can it get any better?

24Yep, like wearing a gorilla costume or something. Itchy!
25If I was living in Milan, Paris, Tokyo or NYC I would totally sport this jacket with a pair of skinny black jeans with a pair of black patent platforms heels. The dress the model is wearing in pix. is so tacky with the jacket! (^_^)
