Who Wore It Better? White, Feathery Marchesa
Camilla Belle and Katy Perry's styles couldn't be more different, but clearly the two have a shared love for white, feathery Marchesa. Camilla first wore this gorgeous piece from the Spring '10 line at an event in LA a couple weeks ago. She paired it with strappy black sandals and sparkly jewels. Then Katy sported the same fancy frock onstage at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany with a pair of sequined pumps. Both look like delicate swans, but who wore Marchesa better?

9Camilla because of the simple and barely-there shoe. With a dress that elaborate, the last thing you want to throw on with lace and feathers is some rhinestones. It's too much going on... take away focus.

I love that Katy went with simple stud earrings (no other adornments) and soft glossy curls. Love the classic shape of the shoe, though a "gunmetal" feel as opposed to "glitter" is more appropriate here. But god, that horrendous eye makeup -- and you can see the shadow of her breasts through the dress -- ew ew ew. This could have been a knockout, but the whole kit already looks dated. This is consistent with Katy's aesthetic, which tries to channel "glamourous-pinup" but more often than not communicates "seedy-Vegas-showgirl-who-never-got-over-her-princess-barbie-complex". Such a disappointment.

19Camilla looks classy in it. Katy has too much makeup on, the shoes are competing with the dress, and she should have worn something under the dress. Did Katy have the dress altered to be super short? Overall it does give off that Ice Skater - Dancing with the Stars Vibe. I can see 70 year old grandmothers loving all that lace and feathers.
20Maybe it's the angles they're both in but I think Katy looks better. Camilla looks uncomfortable and guarded - she's not really "owning" the look.
